소재 스타트업 아토머가 2026년 8월 24일 LG전자와 블루포인트파트너스로부터 시드투자를 유치했다고 밝혔다.
아토머는 설계는 내부에서, 검증·상용화는 전문 파트너와 협업하는 소재 팹리스 모델을 채택해 생산시설·설비 구축에 드는 초기 비용 부담을 줄이고 시장 진입 속도를 높였다.
이번 투자는 LG전자와 블루포인트파트너스가 공동 운영하는 사내벤처 프로그램 스튜디오341(2023년 시작)을 통해 아토머가 독립 법인화되며 이뤄졌다.
아토머의 첫 제품은 두께 100㎛ 이하의 배터리 화재 대응 초박형 비팽창형 열 차단 도료이며, 올해 하반기 실증사업(PoC)을 진행할 계획이다.
이인성 블루포인트 벤처스튜디오그룹장은 “아토머는 뛰어난 소재 전문성을 기반으로 설비 투자 부담을 줄이고 시장 진입 속도를 높인 팹리스 기업”이라며 “소재 시장에 의미 있는 변화를 만들어갈 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
김병성 아토머 대표는 “단계별 전문 파트너와 구축한 분업 생태계를 기반으로 시장이 필요로 하는 기능성 소재를 더 쉽고 빠르게 공급하는 소재 팹리스 기업으로 성장하겠다”며 향후 무전원 냉각 테이프 등 제품군 확장과 IT 기기 시장 진출도 검토하겠다고 밝혔다.

La startup de matériaux Atomer a obtenu un investissement d'amorçage de LG Electronics et de Bluepoint Partners après avoir été lancée en tant qu'entité indépendante issue du programme conjoint de venture d'entreprise Studio341 des deux sociétés.
