DIDEN ROBOTICS, an industrial physical AI company, has appointed Jung Byung-chan, former CEO of Hanwha Robotics, as Chief Product Officer (CPO) to prepare mass production of industrial walking robots. He will oversee productization of the DIDEN Spider, DIDEN Walker and DIDEN Humanoid, as well as mass production, quality control and customer support. The company is running welding trials at three major Korean shipyards and has signed its first export contract with a European customer; it aims to start mass production of the Spider in 2027 and deploy about 250 robots by 2028.
