Palo Alto Networks' Unit 42 has unveiled Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense, an agentic offensive security service that continuously tests enterprise environments using restricted high-capability models such as OpenAI's GPT-5.6-Cyber and Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5, plus open-weight models. It extends the Frontier AI Defense service launched in April into an always-on service, using a Multi-Model AI Harness to assign the right model to each task. The company said it invested $17 million in R&D, found in three weeks the exposures that would take about a year by conventional methods, and that 37% of exposures found in customer assessments were rated high or critical.
